People in the cable business don't have enough regular opportunities to exchange ideas, discuss data trends, vendor observations and other questions. Outside of the annual CAB shows and CONCAM and COLCAM meetings, the chances to talk and train new members of the industry are few are far between.
The purpose of this space is to encourage an exchange of ideas and issues important to our industry. I will offer up old copies of some columns I have written for Cable Avails to get things started but welcome and encourage any postings / stories / general questions anyone else wants to share.
This area shouldn't be limited to what the regular trades will cover (like Nielsen vs. SMART, etc.) but it should include the other stuff everyone wants to know (gossip? what are agencies saying about...? anything else on your mind!).
If there is something you want to know about and is worth discussing, write to me and I'll post it here -- signed or anonymously.
